Build a help center out of short videos.

Most help articles are read with the product open in another tab. A short video next to the app is closer to how people actually learn software. Here is how to build that without a documentation team.

01Start with the ten questions support already answers

Look at your inbox. The same handful of “how do I …” questions come back every week. Each one is a video of under a minute. Ten of them cover a surprising share of support requests.

02Give it a structure people can scan

  • Categories that match your product’s areas: Getting started, Billing, Team.
  • Titles that are the question: “How do I export my data?”
  • A search field as soon as you have more than a handful of guides.
  • Chapters inside each video for multi-step tasks.

03Let users follow along

A guide is most useful while someone is doing the task. In a clipooo catalog every video can float above the user’s windows, or sit side by side with your app, so they click along step by step.

04Keep it current

A help center dies when the screenshots are older than the interface. Because a clipooo video comes from a one-sentence task, making it again after a redesign means running the task again – not recording from scratch.

Your first video is free.

Open your app, say what to show, and watch clipooo make the video.
